Multi-functional Lab
Laboratory space where experimentation, testing and analysis are performed using large manipulatives, data, and computers. These spaces need to have flexible infrastructure and furnishings to allow for a variety of uses to occur as technology and curriculums evolve. Ample space is needed for hands on projects and the ability for students to present their work to the class. Safety equipment, such as eye wash/shower, should be provided.

Seats, desks, and some teaching surfaces are mobile to accommodate a variety of lab activities or to organize lab in stations and separate desking areas. Surfaces are to be durable and easily cleaned.

Strong connections to collaboration spaces and outdoor learning environments. Outdoor learning areas could accommodate both exploration of native vegetation and also group learning, socratic seminar discussions, presentation or group table work.

Dedicated Lab prep room will have sink, ample casework for storage and work surfaces. Each lab prep space is to be shared between two labs. Spaces are to be lockable.
