Program Spaces
Multiple, interrelated spaces are needed to support the Junior ROTC programs grounded in the varying military branches. Learning takes place in classrooms and applied learning labs. Other areas of the school campus such as asphalt areas for drills, fields and gym for PT (physical training); and pool are also utilized.

Classrooms support direct instruction, demonstrations, videos and group learning. Furniture should be moveable to accommodate small group projects and collaboration. Visible and physical connection to the Applied Learning Lab is needed

The applied learning lab is a flexible space supporting various activities such as air rifle range, flying drones, building small robots, and constructing rockets. Materials must be durable and easily cleanable, with concrete flooring. Ideally, there is a direct connection to outdoor learning areas.

Student Command or Headquarters room provides space for student leadership teams to gather, plan, and work. There is also strong coordination between student leaders and instructors.

A small space is needed for instructor administrative tasks. This space should have direct access to student leadership space, and be near to classrooms and applied learning lab. Natural daylighting is preferred to all spaces.
