Traffic flow is crucial to the school, neighborhood and the city as a whole. All key agencies need to be engaged to provide a drop-off and site access design that works for all who are impacted.

Creating safe connections to the local community for bike riders and pedestrians influence the overall site layout and landscaping of the site. Providing the required bike parking allows for bikers to have a safe and convenient storage for their bike when on campus.

Parking is important to the overall schools functionality but focusing on strategies that will minimize the environmental impacts of parking such as managing water run off, providing shading, encouraging pedestrian and bike commuting are important for the holistic design of the school campus. 

Back of house functions need to be easily accessible and well signed. Deliveries take place on a daily basis.  Delivery and trash collection vehicles should not cross heavy pedestrian areas but should be located in close proximity to the kitchen and campus receiving/maintenance.
