Sensory Navigation

Consideration should be given to the sensory experience while students travel throughout the school.  Attention should be given to lighting levels, flooring graphics and tactile surfaces that assist in easing the navigation experience.

Restoom Accessibility

Single use restrooms that are wheelchair accessible are required.  Some should be sized and equipped for a changing table,  Hoyer lift, room for maneuvering with three people, and accessed directly from the classroom. Consider providing  shower infrastructure.
